# NeturalMath Quick Start Guide

## Part 2: Performing Basic Operations

### This document is not complete, and my represent features which are not yet implemented in the current version of NeturalMath.

NeturalMath supports all basic arithmetic operations. This includes addition (

+), subtraction(

-), multiplication (

*) and division (

/).
MathConsole will analyze simple mathematical formulas and return the result in the console window. Try the following operations:

2 + 2
12 - 5
3 * 10
27 / 2

More complex operations may be handled as well. Traditional order of operations is upheld with Multiplication and Division coming before Addition and Subtraction. In cases where the operators have the same precedence, the calculations are performed left to
right, as in traditional mathematics.

12 + 2 / 3
15 * 8 + 12 / 9

Parenthesis may be added to clarify the order of operations or to represent sub calculations.

10 * (3 + 6)
16- ((9 / 3 ) + 8)

As expected, whitespace does not matter, so NeturalMath will evaluate both of the following statements in exactly the same way.

10 + 13 - 2
10+13 - 2
